摘要
In this paper, a square patch reconfigurable antenna with tunable operating frequency and circularly polarized (CP) diversity is designed and implemented by adopting switchable shorting pins. Switchable shorting pins are realized by employing p-i-n diodes with biasing circuits. By adjusting the ON/OFF state of these p-i-n diodes, the working frequency and polarization state of the proposed antenna can be switched at two discrete frequency bands and two CP modes, respectively. A prototype antenna is fabricated, and its performance is verified in the experiment. Measured results and simulated results are in good agreement.
