摘要
We have studied the Forster energy transfer in the hybrid system of semiconductor nanocrystals and a conjugated polymer composite. The electronic energy transfer from a PPV-type polymer to a PbS nanocrystal is examined by employing a semiclassical approach through the calculation of Joule losses. In order to obtain the Forster energy transfer rate, we employed a microscopic description of a simplified exciton in the polymer and a macroscopic description of the quantum dot. The typical transfer time is the order of similar to 10 ps, which is shorter than the relaxation time of the excitation of an isolated conjugated polymer.
