OBSTRETIC VIOLENCE: A SERIOUS VIOLATION OF WOMEN'S RIGHTS

This study aims at describing obstetric violence as a serious violation of women's rights, understanding that its legal recognition will bring seriousness and real prevention. Covering the meaning of obstetric violence, the recognition of the various forms of violence, advancing the fight for women's rights, exposing how Brazil legally handles with the issue in comparison with Argentine and Venezuelan law. Corroborating the theme, a brief history of feminism and its arrival in the country, as the current Constitution considered an important milestone against discrimination in addition to demonstrating political and jurisprudential positions in order to explain how obstetric violence it is seen and contemplated by the three powers.
