摘要
In this work, we introduce the method of data assimilation using the particle filter for the purpose of identifying the unknown constitutive parameters of the ground mass surrounding the tunnel chamber under excavation. Computer experiment using noisy synthetic settlements and horizontal displacements measured sequentially along excavation steps is run to validate assimilated results. High accurate posterior probability distributions of important constitutive parameters show potential for further investigation and application of data assimilation for parameter identification and other state estimation problems in tunneling.
