Beneficial effect of B segregation on creep cavitation in a type 347 austenitic stainless steel

摘要
Additions of B and Cc in type 347 austenitic stainless steel increased creep rupture strength and ductility. B segregation on cavity surface in absence of S contamination suppressed creep cavity growth and provided the steel with the enhanced resistance against creep cavitation. Removal of S through Cc addition made it possible to segregate B on cavity surface. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
