摘要
In recent days, researchers are focussing on 2D and 1D materials after the emergence of graphene and carbon nanotubes. The emergence of graphene and its analogue nanomaterials with fascinating properties encouraged the researchers to advent for different mono-element based two-dimensional nanomaterials (2-D NMs). One such element to appeal the scientific community is the arsenic (As) - group VA element. In this review, we provide state-of-the-art with regard to synthesis and various applications of group-VA arsenene nanostructures. Firstly, we discussed the prediction of different structures of arsenene. Secondly, the general properties of arsenene nanostructures are portrayed. The various methods in the synthesis of arsenene are presented along with the applications of arsenene in various fields. Also, the electronic properties of arsenene nanoribbon, nanotube, and nanosheets are studied and presented. The current review will give the insights on properties, synthesis, and applications of various arsenene nanostructures. Finally, the current review throws light on the prospects and various applications of arsenene nanostructures.
