摘要：

This is an investigation into the quality of water, air and sediments in the region of the Sapucaia Stream, a tributary of the Sinos River located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, south Brazil. The concentrations of Al, Cu, Mn and Zn in the atmosphere of this area were measured, as well as their correlation with bioaccumulation in water, sediments, plants and fishes. The degree of pollution was also characterized through the study of the oxidative damage in fish. The results show that effects vary with the peculiarities of each site studied along the stream.
