摘要
The role of the sustainability at a strategic level has become essential for the companies' survival and competitiveness in the long term. Actually, implementing environmental strategies to support managers in the green transition is interconnected to the corporate social responsibility (CSR). In this context, developing strategic alignments between CSR value drivers and the Environmental Performance Management System (PMS) help company leaders to develop a better understanding of determinants of the sustainable value creation process. Given the importance of this integrated approach on company's performance, the aim of this research is to provide a state-of-the-art review of the relationships between CSR determinants and the environmental PMS. To this end, the authors of this paper systematically reviewed 57 English-language scientific high-quality papers published between 2000 and 2020 on the research topic addressed. The findings provided a valuable framework for exploring the benefits of systematic integrations of CSR and environmental PMS that were, not previously fully addressed by other reviews on this research field. The authors discusses research trends, critical issues and main challenges in this research field, developing a roadmap to support scholars and managers in the corporate transition to the sustainable value creation.
