Unsaturated polyester (UP) resins are typically used in these processes. The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of initiator, promoter, temperature and additives on the reaction kinetics and rheological properties of the UP resin. In addition, mechanical properties of RTM and SCRIMP molded composites were compared and the optimum concentration of LPA was determined by examining the volume change.
