摘要
The results of measurements of the force on a part of a circuit carrying a steady current, due to the action of the whole current loop, are reported. The theoretical value of the force has been calculated using the standard electrodynamics force law. Taking into account the finite dimension of the wire forming the current loop, the calculation implies the computation of a sixfold integral. Contrary to the past experimental outcome reported in the literature, a comparison of a theoretical prediction:; with the present experimental results corroborates the standard force law within the limits of experimental errors.
