摘要
A new fast local motion estimation (ME) method is proposed for the two-stage estimation algorithm of global and local motions. The local motion part is extracted from the block MV (Motion Vector) used in the global ME and it is used as an initial MV in the local ME, resulting in a remarkable reduction of the search range for the local ME.
