A physical-statistical propagation model for diversity in mobile satellite PCN

摘要
This paper proposes a physical-statistical model of satellite-diversity, for particular application to nongeostationary satellite PCN systems operated in built-up areas. The output of the model is an explicit formulation for the correlation between shadowing states associated with pairs of satellites, which can be used as input for Markov models of the satellite channel. Results are presented for a number of practical cases and are found to be in excellent agreement with analysis of real buildings.
