摘要
A photonic real-time Fourier transform (PRTFT) based on frequency stretching of RF signals is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. By using the +/- 2nd sideband modulation of DPMZM, the frequencies of RF signals are stretched. Since the frequency-to-time mapping (FTM) is a linear mapping, the mapped signal is time stretched equivalently. As a result, the frequency resolution is enhanced with the time stretching of the mapped signal, without increasing the 2nd dispersion value of the dispersive media used for FTM. The PRTFT of RF signals has been achieved experimentally within the frequency range of 2-32 GHz. The frequency resolution has been enhanced to 70 MHz for the two-tone RF signals.
