摘要
The paper analyses the wear maps for a class of composites with polyamide matrix and micro glass spheres (MGS) in different weight concentrations. Tests were done on a pin-on-disk tribometer and wear maps were plotted for each average pressure (1, 2 and 3 MPa, respectively) based on sliding speeds of 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 m/s and MGS concentration. Surface shape of the obtained maps and discussions about damaging processes within the superficial layer are presented. The analysis points out that tribological behaviour should be interpreted only by putting together information about wear, friction, temperature in contact, the pair of materials in contact in order to obtain sustainable results that could be useful in engineering design.
