摘要：

The progress in palladium-catalyzed alpha-arylation of carbonyl derivatives is reviewed with emphasis on a-arylation of ketones, amides and esters. The applications of a-arylation of ketones in the synthesis of gamma-lycorane as well as a-arylation of amides in the synthesis of natural products including cherylline, latifine and physovenine are also described.
