摘要
The objective of this report is to present the route of development of magnetically soft thin wires for applications in magnetic sensors. We present our experimental study of the Giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effect of magnetic microwires prepared using the Taylor-Ulitovsky technique. We observed that the GMI effect and magnetic softness of microwires can be tailored either by controlling magnetoelastic anisotropy of as-prepared microwires or by controlling their internal stresses and structure with heat treatment. High GMI effect has been observed and discussed.
