Effect of rheological properties of friction-enhancing greases on the friction between friction lining and wire rope

摘要
In this paper, the relationship between rheology and friction was established by testing the rheological properties of friction-enhancing grease and monitoring the changes of temperature and friction coefficient during the friction process between friction lining and wire rope. It shows that the loss modulus of friction-enhancing grease is proportional to the friction coefficient. As the pressure and friction temperature increase, the loss modulus of the grease decreases and the friction coefficient decreases. It was found that when the loss modulus of the grease is larger, the coefficient of friction is higher. It was also found that when the rheology is stable, the friction transmission is smoother. These results provide a theoretical basis for improving and developing new types of friction-enhancing greases.
