摘要
This paper presents the study on flexural and impact properties of kenaf/ glass hybrid fibre reinforced metal laminates with different fibre stacking configurations. Two types of hybrid stacking configuration were prepared using hot compression method. Non-hybrid glass fibre reinforced metal laminates were also prepared for comparison. The flexural test was conducted according to ASTM D790 while the Charpy impact test was conducted according to ASTM E23. From the results, it was found that the composites with glass plies as the outer layer (H1) exhibited a positive hybrid effect towards flexural and impact properties compared to non-hybrid glass fibre reinforced metal laminates.
