摘要
The European RailTransport Management System (ERTMS) formed by EuropeanTrain Control System (ETCS) and Global System for Mobile communication for Rail (GSM-R) require high performance transmission means and flows. Growing scale of implementation cerates more and more complex system comprising Network Switching Subsystem NSS, Base Station Subsystem BSS and Operation and Maintenance Centre on telecommunication side and primary signalling and control command on signalling side. ERTMS performance, reliability, availability, maintainability and inherent safety are strongly influencing railway operational reliability and technical safety. Paper presents analyses focused on interactions between mentioned subsystems and propagation of faults between them. Analyse covers both technical and in operational domain. Safety aspects are described in functional way pointing possible communication faults and their consequences. Communication safety is subdivided into parts where appropriate means are provided by GSM-R specifications and hence can be assumed as provided by definition and parts where safety depends on the way GSM-R is implemented and hence depend on procurement documents which should reflect predefined safety concept.
