摘要
Europe has made significant progress in recent years by introducing population-based screening programs for colorectal cancer. Due to excellent evidence-based results on the basis of large prospective randomized trials, mass screening using the fecal occult blood test is currently the procedure of choice. Endoscopy-based programs do afford quality insurance programs which are outlined in the recommendations of the European Commission. Copyright (C) 2011 S. Karger AG, Basel
