摘要
Student period is an important step among the various life events of the individual. Indeed, students are subjected to high pressures of success who do not go without its difficulties and may conduct to burnout syndrome. Objective.- The aim of this research is to study the mental health of students in terms of academic burnout. Demographic characteristics of students reporting burnout levels and variables that differentiate students' burn-out levels are assessed. Method.- Three hundred and nineteen students answered at the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) validated in its French version. Results.- According with the literature, about 50% students tend to exhibit academic exhaustion. Conclusion.- This preliminary study deserved to be replicated more widely and on more specific samples of students. (C) 2017 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
