摘要
High definition (HD) displays, which are predominately liquid crystal displays, have been steadily improving over the last decade by increasing performance, increasing display size and resolution and lowering costs. In addition, the widespread adoption of cell phones and the recent surge in sales of small laptop and tablet computers has driven demand for high resolution displays for mobile devices. The pico-projector can combine the benefits of both as a convergence between the high resolution, big-screen experience and the battery powered mobility from a handheld device.
