Large piezoelectric effect in (1-x)Ba(Zr0.15Ti0.85)O3-x(Ba0.8Sr0.2)TiO3 lead-free ceramics

摘要
A new type of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics (1 - x)Ba(Zr0.15Ti0.85)O-3-x(Ba0.8Sr0.2)TiO3 (abbreviated as BZT-xBST or BSZT) were designed and prepared using the traditional solid-state reaction technique. The polymorphic phase transition (PPT) from rhombohedral to tetragonal phase (R-7) was adjusted to room temperature through modifying the proportion of BZT and BST terminals. A high piezoelectric coefficient d(33)=450 pC/N and a high dielectric permittivity epsilon(r)=4070 were simultaneously demonstrated for the BSZT ceramic samples with x=0.70, indicating that the BSZT ceramics are promising candidates for lead-free piezoelectric applications.
