Politics as event. An ontological rethinking of social

In this paper two things are fundamentally supported: 1) Starting out from the political thought of Cerdeiras we can talk about politics as event, whereupon politics is conceptualized as a disruptive practice that is produced outside of social conditioning and can provoke a rupture and introduce a radical novelty that is not possible to be thought of as a logical consequence of the rules given within a situation; and 2) this conception of politics as event entails an ontological perspective that emphasizes in contingency as an ontological condition in which social is instituted. The objective is to establish in theoretical terms an intrinsic relationship between the political event and the ontological status of contingency in social.
