Use of vehicle navigation in driver assistance systems

摘要
This article presents potential applications of vehicle navigation and GPS based positioning systems in. the development of new Driver Assistance Systems and improvement of the existing ones such as Adaptive Cruise Control currently introduced in the market. Navigation in combination with precise digital maps is used to improve the perception of the environment and enhance the prediction capabilities A simulation tool and examples of application are presented.
