High-resolution, high-field magnetization measurement in the diluted antiferromagnet RbMncMg1-cF3:: New application of pulsed high fields to adiabatic magnetization processes

摘要
Tremendously finely resolved magnetization anomalies are reported, for the first time, for pulsed high-field measurements up to 38 T, on the diluted antiferromagnet RbMncMg1-cF3. More than 60 regularly spaced peaks in dM/dB curve are classified into a series of higher harmonics up to sixth order and interpreted in terms of multiple spin flips in the nonequilibrium adiabatic process of the antiferromagnetically coupled Mn2+ dimer system. The result demonstrates an intrigueing potential of application of pulsed high fields to the dynamic magnetization process. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
