摘要
This article essentially aims to present the results of a major study carried out in the Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu during 2000-2001. The study covered five ecological zones in the rural areas of the district. The study covered economic aspects and the environmental issues of drinking water and this article presents the results pertaining to environment, gender, demographic and institutional aspects of provision of potable water.
