摘要：

The aim of the present research paper is to present a set of measures in order to improve the evaluation of higher education personnel in Romania, in general, and in the economic higher education, in particular, taking into account the experience in the field of different universities from our country and from abroad. The paper is structured into four main sections emphasizing the following aspects: am introduction on the activity and purposes of evaluation of higher education personnel; a general presentation of the academic evaluation system in Romania, based on the example of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies; a plan for an improved model of academic evaluation; some suggestions and conclusions in order to synthesize the main debated aspects and proposed action lines.
