When BSA was added into zincon solution at pH 4.1, the purple colour was observed, which indicates the formation of zincon-BSA complex. The maximum absorption of complex was 564 nm and 594 nm with the apparent molar absorptivity of 1.5 x 10(6) L . mol(-1) . cm(-1). The linear range of standard curve for BSA is 0 similar to 10 mu g/mL, and the detection limit is 0.5 mu g/mL. The basic reaction conditions were investigated. This proposed method was simple, sensitive, and reproducible. The analytical results of human Serum albumin using this method is very satisfactory.
