Optimization of GMI Effect and Magnetic Properties of Co-Rich Microwires by Joule Heating

摘要
A remarkable improvement of magnetic softness and giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effect of Co-rich glass-coated microwire is observed at appropriate Joule-heating regimes. Under optimal Joule-heating conditions, we observed GMI ratio up to 650% and coercivity of about 3 A/m. Observed experimental dependencies are discussed considering induced magnetic anisotropy, internal stresses relaxation, and radial distribution of the magnetic anisotropy.
