摘要
Esophageal foreign bodies represent a major challenge in veterinary practice. Numerous methods of surgical and conservative treatment have been described. A surgical closure of an extended esophageal perforation is often associated with scarring and stenosis of the esophageal lumen. In this article, the treatment of a broad esophageal damage by physiological formation of granulation tissue using an esophageal catheter in an eight weeks old puppy is presented. So fat; this particular form of surgical treatment has only been applied and described in large animals. But it is also suitable for the routine treatment of extended esophageal damages in young dogs.
