Effect of the light-induced optical activity on properties of diffraction gratings with an anisotropic profile

摘要：

The influence of the light-induced optical activity on the efficiency of gratings is studied. The gratings formed by two plane coherent waves with the mutually orthogonal linear polarizations is used as an example. It is shown that the efficiency of the grating recorded on a photoanisotropic material can reach 100%. The grating forming higher diffraction orders is considered.
