摘要
The characteristics of high volume, great variety, low value density and high velocity of data in the age of big data requires that every person needs to have the capabilities to choose, understand, question and create information. As a specific group, government civil servants are hoped to get in touch with media to obtain information and apply media to improve the efficiency of governance. Civil servants' media literacy directly relates to the government governance level. The paper, therefore, first summarizes the characteristics of the age of big data and the basic connotation of media literacy, and then discusses the necessity of improving civil servants' media literacy. Finally, the paper explores feasible measures to improve the media literacy of civil servants.
