Mr. Magoo's misfortunes: Ernest Sosa enquires, "How do you know?"

Our objective is the analysis of knowledge undertaken by Ernest Sosa, through whose weaving, as we understand it, his extensive work shapes itself as a one that requires a specific demarche. More specifically, we intend to recover the difficulties and trends of innovation in the article "How do you know?", with which Ernest Sosa, even when hesitating and backing up, made a difference in the scene of knowledge analysis in the direction of an epistemology of virtues. Thus, the analysis makes explicit a feature of knowledge, which despite its truism, required enunciation. In order to know, the subject must be in a position of knowing, being knowledge a human performance. Therefore, even if the positive formula of the epistemology of virtues is not found, Sosa's article holds a special place among his other works, placing it in the origins of his more mature thinking, and in the context of a work in progress.
