摘要：

Fragmentation processes are important for engineering applications. In this report, a sectional representation is given to simplify the solution of the fragmentation problem. The proposed method is a modification of that developed by Hill and Ng. For purposes of simplicity, the derivation considers the continuous form of the population balance only.
