摘要
Linear switched reluctance motors (LSRMs) have great attractive force. This force can be used as levitation force. In general, LSRMs are divided in two types: 1) longitudinal flux LSRMs 2) transverse flux LSRMs. Twos: phase single-sided longitudinal flux and transverse flux LSRMs are considered. This paper presents that longitudinal flux LSRM produces greater attractive force and it needs lesser amount of steel in its secondary. The attractive force of the LSRM is calculated using the three-dimensional finite element method (3D-FEM).
