摘要:
Power generation using by-product gases of Iron and Steel (I&S) industries is one of the most effective ways to deal with the requirement of meeting the energy demand challenge and also to reduce the Green-house Gas (GHG) Emission concentration. Effective utilization of these by-product gases is achieved by taking advantage of Green Technology using a Top Recovery Turbine (TRT). TRT is used to effectively utilize the top pressure of the Blast Furnace Gas (BFG) for power generation and pressure control. This study shows, TRT project activity is well suited for I&S industries to generate their own green power to meet plant energy needs and also to mitigate the environmental impact of by-product gases that are otherwise vented without effective utilization.
