摘要：
An analysis of the history of psychology in the Insular Caribbean, including Spanish, English and French-speaking countries is presented. Similar processess are identified in the historical development of the discipline that are utilized to substantiate a conceptual framework. The framework serves to explain this history and the forces that influence its development.
