摘要:
Mathematical models of the interaction between nutrient, prey, predator and a toxic substrate are proposed. We investigate the case when the prey population can detoxify the toxic substance while the predator can uptake the external substrate without any effect. We also examine the case for which the predator population can detoxify the environment, but not the prey. Numerical simulations are performed to determine which method has a better effect of detoxification. Our computer results strongly indicate that the predator population is more efficient in eliminating the external pollutants.
