摘要
This article presents the effects of densities and restricted metal materials on reactive violence and response time of RDX-basedbooster at the rate of 2 +/- 0.2 degrees C/min. The experimental effort aimed to introduce safe use of boosters in ammunitions and to reduce the vulnerability of boosters in practical applications. Results indicate that reactions are violent when charge densities are around 80% of theoretical maximum density. Also, it is possible to delay the time of reaction using shell materials with greater strength and even metallographic structures and fine-sized crystal particles. These phenomena are explained in relation to detonation theory and thermal-conduction theory.
