Magnetic order in a S=1/2 frustrated antiferromagnet on a square lattice

摘要
The results of low-temperature neutron diffraction measurements on a Li2VOSiO4 powder sample are reported. Neutron diffraction confirms the presence of collinear magnetic order, with a propagation vector (1/2 1/2 0). The refined ordered moment at 1.44 K is 0.62( 3) mu(B), in excellent agreement with the value expected for the square-lattice Heisenberg model (similar to 0.6 mu(B)). No evidence for a structural distortion between 2 and 5 K has been found. (C) 2004 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
