摘要：

A solution of reflection parameter at splice of two regular optical waveguides with arbitrary refractive index profile based on variational method is proposed. Example of calculations for circular waveguide is represented. Applications of approximate solution been obtained by Gaussian approximation for fundamental mode of weakly guiding lightguide are investigated.
