Effectiveness of music therapy in reducing the level of anxiety among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy

摘要
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy on the level of difficulty in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: This study was a quasi-experiment with nonprobability sampling technique consisting of 60 participants, divided into intervention groups and control groups of 30 samples for each based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: The three sessions of music therapy are significantly reducing the anxiety level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy (p< 0.001) in the intervention group. Meanwhile, no significant reducing of anxiety among the control group (p = 0.139). Conclusion: Music therapy is effective in reducing anxiety levels of cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy. (C) 2019 Elsevier Espana, S.L.U. All rights reserved.
