摘要
A 54-year-old woman underwent ultrasonography as a follow-up for type B hepatitis. The study revealed a hypodense and hyperdense mass with a smooth surface touching the lateral segment of the liver and located in front of the portal vein. Although its border with the duodenum was clear, its border with the pancreas head was obscure. CT scan also showed a mass in the inferior aspect of the liver. F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) revealed an accumulation corresponding to the mass, which was suspected to be a malignancy. At surgery, a tumor measuring 5 x 3.6 x 3 cm was found in the hepatoduodenal ligament; it was found to be an ectopic nonfunctioning glucagonoma with a low degree of malignancy.
