摘要：

In this paper we have studied the mechanism of balancing a triple inverted pendulum and presented two fuzzy cascade control schemes to solve the curse of dimensionality in the fuzzy multi-variable control. The first fuzzy cascade control scheme set the cart position in the inner loop, while the second scheme set the cart position in the outer loop. Two schemes can balance the triple inverted pendulum very well in simulation, and their strong and weak points are also compared.
