Single bonded charged fullerene dimers:: (C59N)2 versus (C-60)2

摘要
We report on the vibronic structure of the single bonded charged fullerene dimers (C59N)(2) and (C-60)(2) in comparison to pristine C-60. Raman spectra of (C-60(-))(2) were measured and compared to spectra from (C59N)(2) and C-60. Observation and analysis concentrates on the low energy modes. Both dimers exhibit a dramatic resonance below 800 cm(-1) for red laser excitation. Intercage modes were only observed for the dimers. Their response was lost at the transformation of (C-60(-))(2) to the polymer.
