摘要
In this paper, microstructure transformation in nondirectional solidification process of Zn-2.75% Cu peritectic alloy by compound effects of RMF and modified SiC nanoparticles is investigated. Different primary epsilon and eta peritectic phases are obtained by compound effects from the transverse and longitudinal sections. RMF can effectively refine epsilon phase and accelerate the transportation of Cu atoms that promote the peritectic reaction and transformation. However, RMF does not change the composition and solute distribution of epsilon phase. The quantity of primary epsilon is reduced gradually by compound effects. The formation mechanisms of different microstructures are discussed.
