摘要
This article seeks to explore autobiographically women's friendship in the gendered workplace. Within Western culture friendship is seen as being appropriately located within the private arena (O'Connor, 1992). The article focuses on the implications for both friendship and work relationships when this "public/private" boundary is blurred. We argue that despite some negative consequences women's friendships in the gendered workplace can nevertheless be seen as acts of resistance. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
