摘要
This paper presented channel sounding measurement results obtained in outdoor open square environments at 60 GHz using a millimeter-wave (mm-wave) double-directional (DD) channel sounding system. Here, by using phased array beamforming transceivers a fast D-D channel acquisition in 180 degrees and 360 degrees azimuth range was achieved by configuring a 2 x 4 multipleinput-multiple-output (MIMO) time division-multiplexing (TDM) scheme that enables simultaneous use of two and four antenna arrays covering +/- 45 degrees at the transmitter and receiver, respectively. The half-power beam widths in the azimuth and elevation planes are 6 degrees and 45 degrees, respectively. Using the post-processing including multipath components (MPCs) extraction and clustering method, some observation on the multipath clusters obtained in these measurements was described and statistical characteristics of large- and small-scale parameters were presented.
