Field dependence of penetration depth in an electron-doped cuprate superconductor Nd2-xCexCuO4 with x = 0.16

We investigated the magnetic-field dependence of penetration depth in the Meissner state in an electron-doped cuprate superconductor Nd2-xCexCuO4 with x = 016, to clarify the symmetry of the order parameter of the superconducting state of these materials. We found that the results are consistent with a gap with lines of nodes. Thus, it is speculated that the d(x2-y2) symmetry is common to all the cuprate superconductors, both for hole-doped and electron-doped materials.
